Voice/Data Communications Installation
Unity International Group provides complete and thorough installation of all structured cabling systems, including the following crucial elements:
- Project
Management – Unity has a hands-on approach to project management.
The implementation project manager is actively involved in completing
the installation of all deliverables and coordinates all schedules to
ensure timely installation, while coordinating the efforts of the installation
team with the work of other trades and the general contractor. He also
acts as liaison with the consultant/end user. Project Management has
oversight for the development of the cable infrastructure (installation
of cabling pathways such as cable trays, conduits and riser shafts)
as well as the installation of vertical and horizontal cabling.
- Documentation
– Unity’s Cable Management and Facilities Management systems
include comprehensive electronic databases of all information pertaining
to cable and equipment installation. These applications produce the
initial installation guide used by Unity personnel during installation.
As such, documentation is complete before the project is begun, ensuring
efficient, error-free installation. These databases remain as an important
tool after the installation, simplifying any adds, moves and changes
our client may make. Documentation
also includes AutoCAD, campus layout, MDF/IDF layout, network interconnect,
EIA/TIA specifications and cable records.
- Testing – Unity adheres to the most current EIA/TIA specifications for testing, including TSB-67, TSB-72, TSB-40, and 568A.
