Unity International Group’s restack teams worked nights and weekends for almost two years to relocate Chase employees and their technology from multiple New York City sites to Chase’s new Data Center Headquarters in Brooklyn’s MetroTech Center. Approximately 12,000 users were moved along with the workstation, server and network technology that supported their daily responsibilities.

Unity’s Project Managers and Systems Engineers worked closely with Chase’s IT staff to compile project plans and timelines. Our Systems Engineers developed contingency and back-up methodologies for each physical server move.

Unity’s technicians conducted end user surveys with each employee to be moved, backed up their local programs and data to tape and reconfigured the workstation post-move, providing a seamless transition for the end users.

The infrastructure for MetroTech- cabling and data centers was also performed by Unity. Our structured cabling, electrical and IT staff worked in concert to insure that the cabling and technology of each floor/area to be occupied was completed and tested prior to the scheduled move date.

Unity provided teams of up to 40 resources for each relocation, including Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and Technicians.

For the first business day following a move, Unity performed “Red Cap” support -- technicians wearing red caps walked the floors and assisted users with any technical questions and/or problems that they had in response to the relocation.
