Unity International Group’s security division was awarded the Merrill Lynch security project, which included the replacement of Merrill’s current system with a state-of-the-art security system for over 27 floors at 222 Broadway.

Unity provided the following installations:

  • More than 70 cameras covering garage, lobby, loading dock, halls and areas throughout the building
  • More than 90 card access points, including lobby turnstiles, elevator lobbies and computer/ communications rooms
  
  • More than 300 alarm points covering fire stair doors and resource areas, which control local sounders to discourage the use of doors not bypassable by card reader controls
  • Full life safety system

Chase MetroTech
Brooklyn, New York

Security was a large component of the Chase MetroTech project which consisted of 40 floors of user space, including parking garages, stores, computer centers and office space.

Unity provided the following services:

  • Installed more than 340 card readers controlling lobby turnstiles, individual floors and specific high resource areas
  • Expanded access control system monitors for all the fire stairs, exterior doors and security areas.
  
  • Installed fixed and pan/tilt/zoom cameras on a fiber optic backbone throughout the MetroTech complex. Security features available with this new system included video motion detection, time-lapse recording and video
